As some of you may know I started CPA in March 2013 after doing a lot of reading. At first I made hardly anything but once I gained some experience and had the confidence to do my own thing I started to earn very good money. My brother graduated from university in June but has been sitting around the house doing nothing but driving my parents crazy. They finally got fed up of him and asked me to get him working and to lose weight (he's 93kg with 37% body fat).
Reluctantly I spent 1 long week teaching him about CPA and he's going to follow it through and start making money. I've set him a goal of £200 (about $300) per day by the end of September. He has to reach this goal as he owes me £2000 for all that I've taught him else he will lose his Mac Book Pro and his Nikon D5200 (I'll eBay both of them to get my money).
To make sure he is doing the work I'll be updating this thread each day with his progress.
Update - He has now reached this goal and paid me the money to train him so he won't be losing any of his equipment.
The plan is to follow the following strict schedule each day, Monday to Friday. Doing so he will create 5 niches per week for a total of 60 by the end of the year.
05:00 to 06:30 - Breakfast, Brushing Teeth etc
06:30 to 08:00 - Upper Body Weights, Lower Body Weights or Full Body Weights
08:00 to 09:00 - Shower and Eating
09:00 to 12:00 - Create 1 niche with at least 5 videos
12:00 to 13:00 - Lunch
13:00 to 16:00 - Finishing all the back linking for the niche and videos
16:00 to 17:00 - Do 2 French lessons twice on Duolingo
17:00 to 18:00 - Do 1 touch typing lesson until perfected on typingweb
18:00 to 19:00 - Read current ebook on Kobo Glo
19:00 to 20:00 - Relax, then in bed by 8 PM
Which network are you using?
AdWorkMedia, for me it's the best in terms of flexibility, stability and quality. I am currently looking into other networks for the future so my brother can spread his earnings like I do.
How do you find niches?
I have had a private tool built for me which find niches according to a huge selection of criteria I have.
How are you promoting?
For now just YouTube videos leading to websites where they download a program in which they do a survey. I do tier 1 links manually and then use GSA Search Engine Ranker for tier 2 and tier 3 links.
How many videos per niche do you create?
For black hat there were 3 videos per niche. Now for white hat there will be 5 videos per niche, though for better performing ones there will be more.
How many videos do you put on each account?
I only ever put 1 video per YouTube account, putting any more just makes it easier to get banned and lose more videos at the same time.
Do you use the same keywords on each video?
Whilst there is overlap in the keywords used each video is made to rank for 1 or 2 keywords specifically.
What is the black hat earnings wall?
With fake niches your videos will eventually get pulled and once you get enough up you'll be spending all your time just replacing videos that get taken down.
The actual number varies depending on your method, when I first started I hit it at 150 videos. Eventually once I had done a lot more optimising I hit the limit again at 1000 videos, note you will only reach this number with a crazy number of (very expensive) custom modifications.
How do you rank your videos?
I just upload them and leave them alone. I optimise the title and the description and then wait for the video to rank by itself. Once it does I send a few likes to it just to keep the like/dislike ratio high. Other than that I don't do anything else.
Black hat or White hat?
I've started him on black hat just because it's easier to learn, he'll do this until he has done 50 black hat niches, these will be niches like game hacks. Update - Now that he's done his original 50 black hat niches I'm moving him on to doing 60 white hat niches by the end of the year.
Are all the niches going on one website?
For now they will be put up on one website, the ones that perform well will get their own dedicated sites.
What tools do you use?
Visual Studio 2012, Adobe Photoshop CC, Adobe Audition CC, Adobe Premiere CC, Adobe Dreamweaver CC, Camtasia Studio 8, ScrapeBox, GSA Search Engine Ranker and Indexer, GSA Captcha Breaker, SpinnerChief 2 and a ton of custom tools I have had made for me. I have actually paid for all of these, yes really.
How have you set up GSA?
That is a question with a very long answer, the way I did it was by going to GSA's forums and reading everything I could on their forum. This tool is not that hard to set up once you've done it a few times, you just need some practice setting it up.
Do you use proxies?
Yes I actually scrape my own proxies using the built in proxy tool in GSA Search Engine Ranker. I find that it can easily get me 2000 working proxies. If you choose do do the same I'd suggest that you go and find your own sources, the lists in GSA are mostly outdated and at least half the sites are not updated.
Update - From Monday 30th September onwards only dedicated private proxies will be used. I am getting these from buyproxies.org
I've just started, what should I do?
First go and spend a good week reading up as much as you can on CPA forums, cpaelites is by far the best and the one that I would recommend. Once you've got a good understanding in things like the differences between PPD and CPA networks as well as at least 2 basic methods to make money with CPA go and sign up as someone's affiliate. This will give you 2 benefits, 1 will be that it will be easier to get accepted and the other is that most people usually offer some basic training in exchange for you doing so. Next start finding some niches, making videos etc. At first you will probably earn nothing but the key here is to just improving everything as much as you can and learning as fast as possible.
Eventually (it was weeks for me!) you'll wake up and find that you have made some money, it's a magical feeling that you'll never forget. Keep going no matter how long it takes you to make money, the only failure is in giving up!
Can you mentor me or let me sign up as your affiliate?
I'm sorry but I have decided not to mentor people as it takes way too much of my. To give you an idea I've spent 2 solid weeks mentoring my brother plus all the extra hours in between and made £2000 for the effort. For me that is frankly not a worthwhile amount even factoring in the money I get from him as an affiliate.
As for becoming my affiliate I have nothing to offer you that I would be happy to give away so I'm not accepting affiliates. What I would suggest is that you look for other people who are actively mentoring in exchange for you signing up under their affiliate link. They should be able to get you started, though big earnings will be down to you.
Can you tell me your method or show me one of your videos/niches/landing pages?
My method has taken me countless months to perfect not to mention considerable expense too. It is also something that works due to the tools I have had developed which are very much a key part of the system. I believe this system is unique or at least very rare so I'm not willing to divulge it and have mine and my brother's earnings ruined by extra competition.
