Go to your blog, Customize, Background, at Background Image click on the Arrow and then upload image. This should work I think.

I don't really know, but that landing page is not that HQ,it has too many pics,much text,You can use Awesome Inc. template, remove all unnecessary stuff , put a nice logo as header and you're done.
