How important are backlinks for ranking on youtube?

I consider myself somewhat of a veteran. Well I was dumb and collected my autopilot money without working so of course my videos ended up getting flagged.

I was in some pretty good niches bringing me around 600 clicks a day and all I did to get those videos in the #1 spots was just the typical HR views, likes, subs, and comments.

BUT NOW
I have backups in some of the niches and made them public but they are stuck in the later pages not moving even after adding a lot of everything, gradually too not just in one night. It's been around 3 weeks already from them being boosted like the ones I had ranked before but they don't budge. I never used backlinks for my videos but i'm starting to wonder if that's what's gonna give it that push.

Should I try doing the tiered linking? make some web2.0 properties as the 1st tier and then blasting those with scrapebox blasts? I still have that tool I would just need some proxies and lists.

How good does this work for others? I really miss how much I was making and I feel shitty about my self because I took it for granted thinking I could just climb back up the way I did previously.

Tiered backlinking isnt necessary in youtube videos. The domain is youtube which cant be penalized. So blasting it even with wiki sites is good as long as you index and ping your backlinks. IMO

Sweet, i'm definitely giving that a try in these next days. I'm not expecting movement right away but hopefully in a couple weeks i'lll see something positive out of it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Meh manually creating links for videos? Must be a pain in the ass. Just blast it, any type of links won't hurt your video. If you really want long term results then I'd go with ranking your site instead.

okay i can make the back links, but once i have my backlinks i then just use a pinging site to ping them. I am missing the indexing part, how do i do that?

I was thinking the same.
Question, Google gives you trust to your video, your video is ranked up there, dont you ever think YouTube will also do the same thing as both are Googles' own?

I always thinking bout YouTube trends, first page or anything positives also considered by its external stuffs like backlinks including iframe or embeded video, social signal etc. Please correct me.

Well said. People always try to look at the backlink profile for the #1 spot on a video as if 1) they can match it and 2) as if it matters.

I think the first thing you have to look at is the SEO in the video itself. You have to use YouTube's metrics to rank well inside YouTube. You have to play their game to win.

I have never used backlinks to rank my videos and am doing perfectly fine!
