Your choice, but I will not go with SteelSeries. It will give me headache. Logitech is forever working. G400 and beyond model for the mouse and G19 and beyond for the keyboard.

It has saddened me till this day that my Intellimouse 2.0 died on my 5 years ago. It was a legendary mouse; I fragged a lot of dudes with that weapon.

their mouses always have those weird shapes ...
while most mouses are all the same (round ) shape ...
anyway : the g430 seems a nice headset

I think that to play casually you dont need good equipment, so in your situation i would buy games.

I like razer . Their mouses and mouses pads are awesome . I have a razer mouse that i bought in 2010 and its still working very well (Razer Lachesis) . I can't say the same thing for their headsets . I had the Megalodon , The problem of it is the durability ,the cable broke very fast . For headsets i recommend Logitech . I have an G35 Which the cable is totally fucked up but its still working ( I dont know how) , different from razer its still working very well . Some time ago i bought an G930 Which is the same as G35 but it's wireless . I really recommend G930 ! headset cables are really a pain ! Trust me . I know you said no razer , but for mouse you should really consider it , and for headsets Logitech .
