is there any software that is specially for removing chrome toolbars? (homepage hijacker)

EDIT: Was able to fix this without using any software.

Delete from the registry - Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACCHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome
Delete file - C:\Windows\System32\GroupPolicy\Machine\registry.pol
Restart computer and the problem gets solved

Thanks

That was a very bad move to install it in your own machine. The only way to remove that adware junk is reinstalling OS

Reinstalling OS because of a toolbar?, it's like killing flies with a bazooka imo. At least try to remove it first.
Download Malwarebytes anti malware and scan your computer, it's free and it's well known for removing a wide variety of badware.

Start your windows in Safe mode and then perform a full scan.

I will say Fierce... most adware is basically just a Trojan Horse with an advertiser on the end of it instead of a hacker and yes some of those can be very nasty indeed... If all else fails I do have a Uninfector I coded a long time ago that I bet would do the trick. (nope... don't ask why I needed tools like that lol)

Even if you don't believe in yourself... I will. :)

I once accidentally installed it same way. I tried everything including malwarebytes, different AVs, uninstallers, removing from registry and nothing worked. Had to install new OS. So i wish you luck with that.

Cheers

the only hope for something like that would be spybot search and destroy. download it only from https://www.safer-networking.org/private/compare/ for the free version. been using their software for over a decade and it never fails me.
