So I just saw this. When I went to the video manager of my video, on the right of the edit button I saw "matched third party content". I clicked on it and I saw the following:

Quote:Your video may include clips that are owned by a third party.

To watch the matched clips please play the video on the right. The video will play from the point where the matched content was identified.
Your video is available and playable.
Here are the details:

Acknowledge Dispute

(I tried posting a screenshot but the forum won't allow me as I do not have 50 posts yet.)

And yes, I actually just ripped a game trailer from YouTube and uploaded it.

Please note the video is in 'unlisted' mode since it was uploaded. I was just planning on making it public and I saw this.

How should I proceed? Should I acknowledge it or dispute it or just ignore it and make my video public?

Will the video be deleted when I make it public?

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. Please explain a little. Are you suggesting that I insert my own audio to that video? Please note that the video is actually a game trailer.

I'd recommend acknowledge it unless you're planning to dispute which you clearly won't win. The content ID system on YouTube will check your video regardless if it's visible to the public or not.

I don't plan on keeping the video up for more than 3-4 days anyway. It's just an experiment. So what you are suggesting is that I acknowledge the claim and make my video public, correct?

yes. First you need to change the video MD5 . Check on tutorial section for video spin blaster.

What happens if I totally ignore this claim? How long after the video is public will any action be taken?
