Hi all, i wanted to start learning how to create my own websites, so i could do it the most HQ possible.

I'd like to know what language should i learn first..

I'm aware that a nice looking site needs atleast javascript.

First newbie question, is it necessary to learn JAVA before javascript?

I was thinking about learning the basics first (html of course), then **if necessary** java, later javascript, and i've also seen that other cool scripts got something like "jquery" (i suppose it's another language too).

My main objetive is creating awesome websites with a lot of viral effect (that's why i want to learn how to make scripts also) for using in PPD/CPA.

I'm starting college this year too so i'll study something related to this too.

So.. what do you recommend me to start with OR which way?

Thanks in advance, and sorry for grammar mistakes.

Java is not Java script bro :).

Java is used mostly for apps , games and some applications.

Java script is website based. When you learn Java script it's nothing related to Java and if you learnt java before it You will have no use of it in web development

I suggest codeacademy so free courses and teaches you everything you need to know

Learn Python or Ruby, mate. They have great frameworks you can use to make high quality websites in a fraction of the time it would take you to make a shittier site in PHP.
It may take you longer to understand everything if you're not used to object-orientated principals, but it's well worth the investment.

http://www.thenewboston.org is maybe the worst way to learn anything. He shows only for what is a html tag and some css.
What i would tell you how to learn HQ web design/development is by using torrent, best thepiratebay, and look for tutsplus tutorials, they are the best they show you more then just what a tag do and for what is it for, they have around 50+ courses for you and you get download them free there ! But if you want to support them they have their own website but it cost 20$ monthly to subscribe.

Start from : html5/css3 no need for html/css because if you learn using <div id="header> (this is old school) use <header> tags and html is easy like cake but css is a little bit tricky, you will see.

Then learn basic javascript then go and learn full JQueary. It will take maybe 3 months to understand it very well and more to perfection.

Then php/mysql, learn some wordpress how to edit and make your own templates and such.

After that you can learn any other language that you want.

Hope this help you :D

P.S. learn a little photoshop for designing it is much better to do the design first there then move to coding.
