Wikis for Tier 1?

For my tier 1 I am using GSA and I'm currently creating article, web 2.0, and social network backlinks. A lot of people are saying it is fine to create high quality wiki's for tier 1, since over time it gets harder to get article, web 2.0 and social network backlinks. Would it be fine to use wiki's for my tier 1 backlinks? If so, what would be the recommended PR and OBL filters to use?

It is ok to us Wikis but keep in mind that many of the Wikis out there are simply rubbish. They are not at all great as they are either no follow or no ranking value whatsoever. If you want to use wikis as tier 1, as you say, make sure that you choose some that are very good and that have do follow. Then, build links towards them. It will help you out but you might want to use blog posts instead of wikis if you can get some links on a high authority blog. That would work better than with the Wikis.
