What kind of marketing is this?

So i'm browsing the internet and I saw someone promoting these (offers?). He's driving traffic by redirecting the users to these kind of stuffs:
1. http://www.sofler.com/lp/videoperformer/v7/ (I already removed the referral ID)

2. http://www.sofler.com/lp/videoperformer (I already removed the referral ID)

3. http://www.speedanalysis.net/ (I already removed the referral ID)
** I can give you the exact URL of these but I think we'll just help him make more money.

What kind of marketing is this? How can they earn money on this?
Is this PPI? If yes, could you please give me some networks?
I'm pretty sure it's not CPA because the users doesn't need to complete offers. Any ideas please? Thanks in advance!

I assume this is some kind of twist of the usual PPI installs.
In this case you will be required to download some program which allows you to play the video.
I can bet a grand on it that it will just result in malware, toolbars, ads etc..

I can't recommend you networks but I guess if people made these landing pages themself they could just use the normal PPI networks and promote those installers.

it looks similar to this http://hdmovies4u.org/?id=&title=video_title which is from a network called https://perinstallbucks.com I have found out this can apparently be a trusted network to earn with here http://www.Reported as removing reviews for money. Use the Elites network questions section instead./perinstallbucks

I've seen these before, they're quite frequent on URL shorteners like Adfly. I'd imagine it would be pay per install basis.

ESET antivirus keeps saying it is "Potentially unwanted content".
