ppd: sharecash/dreamcash/http://www.cpaelites.com/Thread-Network-Ban/fileice
cpa: adworkmedia/cpagrid/cpalead/adgatemedia

With PPD you earn 80-90% from total lead payment.
With CPA you earn 100% from total lead payment.

But if you use CPA will be hard, because you have to select offers, etc.
PPD - they use multiple offers from more cpa sites, they choose just good offers.

PPD Situation:
Jimmy is looking for a free itunes code. He finds a video on YouTube giving a download link for a generator, but to unlock his download, he has to choose one offer to complete. After completing that offer, he gets his file. You, as the publisher, are getting paid per download
CPA Situation:
Again, Jimmy wants a free itunes code. He finds a video on YouTube that links to an offer page, where the user has to enter his email and other info to enter for a chance to win. You get paid every time someone completes an action, hence the name, cost per action
That's my understanding of things, I'm pretty confident I'm correct, if not let me know :)
PPD basically locks a download with CPA offers.

CPA is more profitable and better for long term in my opinion. PPD is good for earning quick cash though.

Some good PPD networks are FileIce and ShareCash!
