Noob questions:

What is considered a 'hot' niche?
How to see if a niche is hot?
Can you promote fake stuff in 'hot' niches? E.g, giving out a download link for key generator and once they fill out a survey, the download is empty or not what the title said.

Please explain with example (if possible).

I am new into CPA (and online earning). Don't know any way to drive traffic except the unlisted method on YT to bring my video to first page. I brainstormed a niche and promoting a fake item (users don't get the item they thought they would after they complete the offer and unlock the download link) and I am getting about 100 raw clicks from one video before it is loses ranking (which happens in about 24-36 hours). Is this niche considered to be hot? I tried this video with PPI and got 100 clicks and 5 leads (55 cents). Not worth it. So I am now trying it with CPA - video has been live for 9 hours now with 30 raw clicks (15 unique) and 1 lead so far. The video will go down in the next 10-15 hours. I can scale it up if I get my ROI + some profit with each video.

A hot niche is usually a niche that becomes extremely popular over a short amount of time.
Hot niches become saturated very fast so you have to use them before they become saturated. The iOS 7 Jailbreak was a hot niche but now it's a typical saturated niche just like many others.

What factors determine a niche to be hot? Monthly searches of the related keywords? How to discover find out about current hot niches?

Monthly searches and search results. You can view the monthly searches using Google Keyword Planner or the YouTube Keyword Tool. You can view the search results by searching the keyword, the amount of results are displayed there.

What number of searches will make the niche hot? 100,000+ monthly searches and 10m+ results? Or more? If you can give me an experienced answer of what numbers to consider before determining if I have found a hot niche would be great for me.

I know how to check the competition but what is considered to be a high demand?

Makes no sense to me, high demand + low to no competition.. that's impossible.

Be creative with this. Lets say a new game is out, then lots of people will be looking for it. And their will be high demand but low competition.

In my country was a tax problem and people were kinda worried about it, if u would make a website for it and offered a solution for it. Then u could lock the website with a survey. I bet lots of people would do surveys to unlock it. And this is as whitehat as it can get.

Yeah, I deduced that much as being high demand. Demand = monthly searches, correct? I was just hoping to get an idea how many monthly searches would be considered as a high demand.

I am making $0 right now so I don't really care about blackhat or whitehat much right now. I just want to start making some money.

I guess I need to find a hot niche to get more clicks before video is taken down.

Usually hot niches have low amount of searches, because they become hot quickly and Google takes some time to update, so you have to know when a niche is exactly hot. :)
