What Search Volumes Earn What From SEO?

I have about $1,000 to invest and I am thinking to invest in ranking some websites, but I don't want to waste $500 on seo for a keyword that earns $5 a day... so my question is (on average) what do your search volumes bring you.

It would help best if you answered like

10k searches and I made $35 a day ranked #2

That would help me SO much I would be very appreciative!
I understand that this is personal to some people, so please do not feel offended by this post :P

I understand that, but it is nice to have a general idea ;)

Here's a little tip. When I am doing keyword research, I check it for various countries. I individually check what search volumes those keywords in total have for US/AU/UK and for other PIN countries. If those contribute major searches, I go for it (even 2500-3000 searches for these countries will easily fetch $300/mo at least to my knowledge).

I also check Google Trends for the niche I am targeting and see what countries are most interested in it. If it's like Vietnam, etc (similar low paying countries) in majority, I skip that niche entirely as it's not worth doing or spending time after it.

Hope this helps.

Yeah that does help, I found a niche I want to go after the keywords reach about 59k searches total, but I will check which countries are actually searching for them. Thanks!

Also, don't forget to check intitle competition (google search operation, intitle:keyword).

The biggest mistake I made, especially when starting and low on funds is that I went after highly competitive niches. Ranking on some for page 2/3 is easy and is achieved in few weeks. But going to page 1 will take couple of months for these high searches/competitive niches. That's when you start getting frustrated as you are not seeing any results.

Even being 1st on page 2 is just as good as not being ranked since you would hardly make even a single cent, in most cases. If it's not top 7 results on first page, it gets very harder to earn. Even us as searchers don't go past page 1 for most results in genuine queries as you know.

Hence, go after medium comp niches at first and rank them first. Or you will feel like you drained all your money without seeing any returns.
