Watch Out YouTube: Facebook Video Now Has Over A Billion Views A Day

Facebook just released new stats revealing that their shift to take over the video sphere is working. Since June 2014, Facebook video has averaged 1 billion views a day with over 65% of the views worldwide happening on mobile. In just one year the number of video posts per person has increased 75% globally and 94% in the US.

Facebook aint rival of youtube because fb business model is the opposite of yt.
While on yt if u make a video ur video can be seen by everybody in the world, on fb your reach is extremly limited unless you pay.
On yt publishers make money with ads , of fb publishers have to pay for their video to be seen by more people.
Also lets not forget fb has autoplay on, if yt would make every video autoplay it would have 100x more views than fb due to the huge number of videos.

Facebook will need to make the videos searchable at the very least before they can even compete with YouTube.

I don't think FB will ever beat Youtube in the video sharing aspect. I do agree with others that it's most likely due to the autoplay crap they have.
