I want to start running niches via snapchat,
How can i make people follow me?

You could use a bot for this. Depending on your niche only a bot could address "the masses". ;-)

You can't add your snapchat username anymore , but you can add a photo with your snapchat code or profile. Or use your snapchat username on your profile name at Yellow :) Ask me more if you want to know something else about Snapchat.

Try to use new functions of snapchat. Pin your snap to well-known place on a map.

2. A dedicated Snapchat bot to follow people and send them messages.
