Visual Basic vs C#

Hey guys, I was wondering, why not use C# apps? I mean, what are the ups and downs?

As far as I know tech schools teach C, personally I learn C at college and I wanted to know if I can make C# apps that look exactly like the VB ones. I want to do this because afaik VB uses .NET framework which is not installed by default in some Windows versions. Wouldn't be a C# program a more portable alternative?

Try to be more specific next time you ask a question. We don't read your thoughts, you know.

If you're asking which is better for dummy CPA apps, then VB. Well, not necessarily better, but more productive and efficient, because you can develop a few themes and just drag and drop the app elements, then paste the same code you would use for any other app. C# and Visual Studio are not so beginner friendly, especially if all you want to use it for is develop shitty CPA apps.

Both are fine to learn since they are from the same family Dot Net. Visual Basic is easier and more beautiful as a code than C# while C# is more faster and popular around the world. The proof is the popular development studios which allow you to develop games and other things on it with C# while in Visual Basic you are limited in Visual Studio to develop windows apps, but it doesn't affect most of us at all since lots of developers has build features which allow you convert a dot net app into a linux one and so on.

You can learn what you want, since also you can call each other from libraries (.dll) so you can also use both in one app project. And more and more...

If you are planning on creating fake niches just go with VB.NET it's just drag and drop.
If you are good with Photoshop you can make a very good looking piece of software.
