Using Misspelt domain traffic

I'm coming up with as many ideas as possible right now, it's 9.26am so the brain is trying to start up and function correctly still though. Grin Anyway, so one traffic source that has come up a lot over the years is the (Misspelled domain traffic) methods, to give you an idea on this I have sourced the following information as it's not something I personally have tested out:
Quote:Miss-speled traffic is essentially a traffic that comes from missspelled web addresses. For example, there are millions of people everyday typing google.com into the address bar, a small % of these people sometimes make a mistake and put gppgle.com by mistakenly clicking “pp” instead of “oo”. So, if you owned gppgle.com I bet you’d received a great amount of traffic every single day. Get the point?

Pretty interesting!

Quite a good idea hawk. But the problem there is to find the best or the most typed misspelled domains. Mostly i type google too fast and it turns out as a spelling mistake.

In contrast , nowadays browser will remember address so when you type like "goo" the whole google.com address will be selected.

IDK, but if say I were to use my keyword tool right now it always shows me suggestions and some will be misspelt. Then, you just test out the most searches terms and see what is available.

If I enter the site that I am not familiar with I just type the address again. I dont think I can make money from very little mistake like this.

Anyway this is good idea :D most important thing is niche alway :D

PS: just quick thought, how about clone the correct one then redirect to landing page by adding the text: "You will be redirect to whatsiteever in x seconds". We just have to gain trust of the people who misspelt the address so they could see what we are offering

This is a good idea, I do agree with all the spellcheck now its not as powerful as before, but it still has some pull... This used to be huge on EBAY, before they had spellcheck... I would search for items that were misspelled and I would get them at such a high discount and resell them. It was a gold mine back then, but then auto spellcheck and suggestion got introduced and killed that. One great memory I had was buying a "GAME BOI" for $29.99 with 20 games... and turned around and sold the entire pack of games and the gameboy for $800.00 and I was only 13 at that time haha!

You wouldn't believe how much you can actually earn from illiterate people on google :), not the ones who misspell the word, but the one who write the whole sentence without using any grammar and writing the words falsely.

I've been thinking if there is are results for mistyping on mobile. I have noticed that a lot of the time I accidently hit the . button instead of space so sometimes "my.sentences.can.look.like.this" has anyone tried to target that?

Just checked on google, same results when using dots and spaces, damn auto correct and google's auto words suggestion system :D.
