The Power of Facebook: How ‘Dangerous’ Can It Get?

Facebook is one of those social media platforms that seems to just grow larger and larger, and none of use really know when it’s going to stop. Sure, people are looking towards alternatives like Twitter and even Instagram these days; but does that make Facebook “irrelevant”? Facebook has the ability to inflict itself upon an abundance of social media channels, and that’s because Mark Zuckerberg (the creator of Facebook itself) is investing into them. You can’t grow as a business without working alongside other entrepreneurs and things like that – which is why Facebook is always looking to purchase some of the much newer and improved applications out there.

Facebook is becoming a little too powerful in a sense, and people are starting to take notice of that feat. We’re going to talk about why Facebook is doing this, as well as what it means for the future of the social media industry.

Facebook Takeover

Facebook is trying to get their fingers into as many different faucets as possible, which is why they’re constantly trying to push the envelope. Facebook isn’t the most popular social media application anymore, and that’s because there are much more innovative and creative selections to work with. Since Facebook can’t exactly change and mould themselves into a brand new type of organization, they just take it upon themselves to purchase a portion of the popularity.

Facebook is always going to be the best place to go when it comes to connecting with family and friends, but it’s outdated in a sense. By purchasing shares (or just the entirety) of applications and organizations like Instagram and such, they’re cementing their legacy when it comes to the history of the internet. Business is a lot different these days, as the internet opens up a lot of doors for people who would (otherwise) be left in the dust.

No End in Sight!

There’s no need to panic, as this is only going to make things much easier for social media marketers in the future. By integrating everything into one, you don’t need to keep track of an entire list dedicated to your tools. Facebook has a lot of link juice and authority behind it, and that’s due to the fact that they’ve been in business for many, many years.

They are pretty much one of those companies that completely changed the way of internet advertisements, now people are dedicating hundreds of thousands of dollars to advertise on Facebook (as well as some of the different social media platforms owned by Facebook). Not only that, but people are making a career out of Facebook advertisements – and they owe most of that to the expansion that has been taking place.

Facebook is always going to have a lot of power to work with, well, for the foreseeable future (at least). If you really want to know whether working with Facebook is dangerous or not, just try it first-hand; regardless of what you get into, there will always be risks.

Looking forward to some interesting discussions below!

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Its true but its like the way you seeing . Its like if you try to promote a nike product but you don't have nike official pages , you can't do this. Thats what fb says.

Obviously non verified pages will be able to advertise, who have verified pages. they doesn't actually need to verify because they usually get enough reach . But still i think there are something i might missing like fb will try to make a little harder.

True, and I wouldn't mind, IF they did not ban lower spending ad accounts. (Who do, infact, breach their ToS :P)
Would make alot of affiliate marketers lives easier!

The fact that Facebook paid for the Oculus VR for US$2 billion in cash and Facebook stock, says it all.
