I have been reading a lot of ebooks recently and I think its now the time to get a good E-reader of my own for this purpose. Thus, I made this thread and I would like to know your opinions about which E-reader I should purchase.

Thank you for your time Smile

You might want to try Cool Reader. You can customize the settings. It supports many formats. It can't read PDF, though.

You can use it on your computer or mobile device. But I think it's not compatible with Apple devices.

If you have an apple device I suggest you Documents by Readdle. have been using it in the past few days and it is quite good one indeed. :)

That's completely true and I do prefer reading paper books. However, it's kind of impossible to afford so many paper books since I read many. Also, the getting a digital ebook is much more convenient and free (if you know what I mean Grin) whereas I need to run to stores or library to get "limited" number of paper books and sometime they might not have the book I am looking for.

Tbh mate any will do it really depends on your preferences. Even cheap little android tablets work well and are cheaper than some ebook readers. I used to use the kobo but they were kinda rubbish. If your looking for lit up ones maybe the kindle or an android tablet?

Go to a shopping centre try some out.

I've got a nook glowlight which has a built in light and it's awesome. If you are reading at night it lights up enough so you don't need to mess around with external lights or clip on lights with a case.

It supports epub format but if you use a program called calibre you can convert any format into what you want.

I agree. I tried using e-book readers before but I didn't like them. But it came to a point where I have no more space for new physical books and I don't want to dispose the ones I have. So I looked at e-book readers again. From the ones I tried, I like Cool Reader the most. It's free and for me, when I use it on my phone, using it is kinda like reading physical book. On the settings, I set Background Texture to Paper 1 and View Mode to Pages.

Yeah, I get it.
I read on my Galaxy S4 just marketing and news etc, and books for research etc that would cost me a lot on my PC.
But paper book that I read because I sincerely like reading ( " A day without reading books is a lost day" ), and having all my books in my room.

I get you, yeah, and will probably search for it... but probably it's not the time for me, will wait sometime to "convert" my reading activity on e-book.
