It could be a negative SEO case study but I wouldn't be afraid. Atm Google doesn't care from what I know. It would be far to easy to get a site penalized with a bunch of social signals.

Who knows these 100k g+1's comes into your favor, lol, there are alot of myths going on about social signals, let us know if your site gets penalized.

There is a guy on the lol niche, with over 190k Fb shares, 100k google plus ones and 100k twitter tweets and he sent all those social signals 6 months ago. He wasn't penalized.

The thing is Google are not dumb, when negative SEO is implemented on a domain half the links don't index, if Google see a big chunk of links indexing at one time and compare it to other times they will see it's likely spam, i.e not added by yourself. Remember, Google have to work things out for themselves sometimes too and to just ban every domain because it gets a sudden surge of links or in your case (100k Google plus ones.) means they have to weigh everything up.

Back when I was ranked up for super tough keywords I had the same issues, I even had people emailing me telling me I'll be losing the ranks soon and that they has spammed me with thousands of links. Again, if you think with logic though you will know it's not always something to worry about. If I crank up SB right now and spam a domain with 100k links most won't even index, the ones that do as mentioned would likely raise a red flag with Google when checked as they would check the overall link building and know it makes no sense.

Obviously, this is not always the case and you could get some pissed of Google fiend, he just got ditched by his wife who ran of with his best friend on the Sat and now it's Monday and he is pissed, unlikely though, just keep going and if you're REALLY worried just buy a new domain and make a backup copy so you have something ranking up.
