Touchy subject obviously, what do you think about this. Amsterdam has legalized it and I guess it's removed some crimes by doing so.

In Indonesia, there's a program that want to make prostitute is legalized by making 1 place only that legalized it. We all know prostitute is not good but with make it to legal, it's very easy to educate people that prostitute is not good. Without make it legal, the people who are "playing" in that business sector won't be touchable since the prostitute is running underground. I guess there's some pros and cons about this decision.

It should be legalized in according to me.

I don't know about statistics about other countries. Not only it curbs human trafficking but also helps the government to keep an eye on the business and earn from it too.

So neither do an organisation is able to force people into this profession but also have a track/record of the same along with the income from the tax paid by them.

It will also help bring down corruption since places where it runs certainly has hands of the authorities who make a lot just by letting them run.

Countries where Please, keep it clean this type of discussion does not belong on CPA Elites. cases are at large can also come down a little bit too.

It should be legalised. It would have many benefits. It would reduce human trafficking, help to encourage prostitues to be screened for STD's so improving their health and their clients therefore reducing the spread of infection. It would also stop money going to the big organised crime gangs who often specialise in prositution, which might also help some prostitues get clean from drugs which is usually what they're working for so they can instead work legitmately as a prostiute and aren't poorly paid or paid in drugs.

The problem will always be that whilst it remains illegal, there will be crimes that go on which are never reported. I watched a program the other day and it suggested that there is a big % of rapes on prostitutes, now, if for example the law was changed and that they could operate under safer circumstances e.g Amsterdam whereby they work inside buildings that have active security walking around, I wonder if it would at the very least improve the situations if not fix them as a whole.

I do feel that by legalizing it, it's going to remove some big issues.

As long as the women are not forced to do so i believe it should be legalized.
We here in Amsterdam have it legalized, But there's still crime, but it does reduce it.

And really that's what it all comes down to (reducing crimes), it's never going to remove prostitution but it can certainly help.

Yes, I believe it should. This will minimize the mal-treatment of prostitutes by the handlers (criminals). The workers will get fair pay for fair work.
The only reason it's illegal is because sex is a taboo. Once we realize that it's just as natural as sleep and breathing and that there are girls whose interest prostitution is then we can maybe create new jobs for these people.

I think yes, it should be legalized, since it's done either way. Some women find that easy money, and they like it, everyone should do what they like haha
