Ranking multiniche site, problem?

Hey all, i'm trying for months to rank a few niches from multiniche site but it's obviously that i'm doing something wrong.

All my rankings dance from like 20-30, and i can't rank any niche.
One friend told me that it could be problem if i use niches from one domain and same site list on all. I tried to rank niches in format: http://www.multinihcesite.com/niche1 , and i also tried http://www.niche.multinichesite.com but results are almost the same.

I found that niche.multiniche.com (subdomain) ranked little better, but it's still not in top 10
(yes, it has low competition :( )

niche.multinichesite.com
multinichesite.com/niche1
This is just one example, and this niche is the best with ranking of others ones, but still not in top 10 -.-

Does anyone have idea what the hell could be wrong?
(i use old site list but i think it's still good, i can make a few thousand of links.. i would buy list, but currently i'm broken.)

I'm having the same problem as you. I have a multi-niche site with 80 posts which i'm trying to rank for... Only half of the keywords are in 20-30 position and they are not moving forward. I'm working with low-comp. keywords too...

I have made contextual backlinks to inner pages, web 2.0s to inner pages, some pbn posts to the root domain and the anchor text is fine... and still not a single keywords in top 10.

Who know's what the f*ck we are doing wrong here...

P.S. The site is 8 months old.

Solution is pretty simple - keep adding backlinks and give it time, don't stop. There is nothing else to it. If you are stuck for quite a bit of time then you must start adding PBN's/SAPE and keep so until you rank, looks like the links you made are not good enough.

Your domain can either be penalized if you built too many backlinks , especially if you built backlinks as soon as you got your website set up.

Or

Your domain can be penalized or not ranking that well due to duplicate content or low quality content. If you copy stuff from other websites or if you have less than 300 words per post you will have a hard time to rank
