Hello and welcome to thread that contains valuable pieces of information regarding the ways you advertise and promote as well as finding out what converts! I have written articles for each subject (see below) for you to take a look at and it might change the way you are currently thinking about something into better way or it might be old information to you. Anyhow, it is still something that everyone should be aware of! These subjects that are covered are in no particular order nor they have any links to each other but they all are related to Internet Marketing in general, may you be doing Affiliate marketing or PPD, all these apply to either one.

Subjects
  • What kind of titles are good?
  • How to get tags for your youtube videos?
  • What is AIDA and why should it be used?
  • How to think of and find Whitehat niches for your promotions?

What kind of titles are good?

Title! That is the single handed most important thing when it comes to catching attention of the user as nowadays most of the people suggest you to learn SEO to rank in google search results. There is only text which catches the attention of the user. Now this is where word play comes along.

Let's think about it. If you have a niche that is called for example "Carving wood figures" and you have four competitors on search engines ranking at the top. The titles of those competitors are:
  • The absolute best carving wood figures guide!
  • Carving wood figures has never been this easy - Learn what professionals use for carving wood figures with ease
  • Top 10 Carving wood figures tips and tricks
  • Learn how to make carving wood figures your profession!

Now your aim here is to beat those titles in catching attention for the keyword "carving wood figures". A bad title to compete with would be just "Carving wood figures" or "How to carve wood figures". But when it comes to word play, only sky is the limit. A good title for competing with these titles would be "Fantastic step-by-step guide on carving wood figures to earn living".

You create interest with the first word, "fantastic" as people want everything be fancy nowadays yet you maintain the professional look in the title which also builds trust into the users mind. "step-by-step" implies that it is doable by anyone with this guide since it is instructed well each step at a time as title suggests. This also builds trust. Last but not least, "to earn living", this creates a image for the user that with this guide, he or she can make money and that's what gets often times people highly interested as there is money involved and the best part is, the money will go into their pockets!
Long titles seem to catch the users attention better as they get a better understanding on your content judging by your title and generally get a mood to click on YOUR video or website.

How to get tags for your Youtube videos?

Tags in youtube are meant to tell the spiders that crawl information for youtube, what your content is about and with what search queries your video should show up with! This is a major factor when you want traffic to your website through your video as you want to rank for main keyword, generic modifications of your main keyword and long-tail keywords.

Let's use the example "carving wood" as our main keyword here.

First up you need to come up with at least 20 keywords related to your niche. Main one being "carving wood". 1 main keyword, 10 generic modifications, 9 long-tail keywords.

What I mean with generic modifications of your keyword is that you should use for example "carving wood figures", "carving wood benches" just general ones that people might search for who are interested in your niche.

Long-tail keywords are the ones that form possibly a sentence such as "guide on how to carve wood figures by hand", "carving wood benches from scratch". They are generally just keyword phrases that are easier to rank for since they are very specific.

Getting keywords that people search for is easy! Just go to youtube, search for your niches MAIN KEYWORD, in our case it would be "carving wood". Now open up 3 to 5 top ranking videos all in different tabs on your browser and pause the videos as you don't need to watch those videos. After you have them all open, simply right-click anywhere on the page and choose "View Page Source". Next scroll down just a little bit and you will find a piece of code that looks like "<meta keywords"blah blah blah".

This is where you will find keywords that are being searched and what those top videos are ranked for. You should just copy them, choose the ones that you want to use in your niche and then add them to your video. Easy huh? I think so too!

What is AIDA and why should it be used?

AIDA comes from Attention - Interest - Desire - Action

It is the model for nowadays marketing and advertising that is used by almost everyone. It has been said that if one of these four elements is missing, the advertiser will fail in his journeys to advertise something successfully. It was introduced by Elias St. Elmo Lewis in 1899 when he spoke about "catching the eye of the reader, to inform him, to make a customer of him.".

I found a perfect article about AIDA written by Paul Suggett. See it here to learn about the model and how it works and what you should do with it: http://advertising.about.com/od/successs...e-Aida.htm

There is no point in me explaining it as it's already well laid out on there. Just read it.

How to think of and find Whitehat niches for your promotions?

When it comes to niches, if you really think about it, anything can be turned into a niche. But the cold hard fact is that whitehat niches will earn you stable income (Of course it's not guaranteed but at least it's safe to say that it will not get taken down) for months if not years to come if you just do the promotion part right.

There are three types of niches, Whitehat - Greyhat - Blackhat.
Whithat are niches where users get what they are promised. Greyhat are ones that users get partially what they came for. Blackhat are for example hacks that do not work so they gain nothing that they came for.

The absolute best way to get stable income is to use whitehat niches. Blackhat and greyhat niches are more of churn and burn kind of stuff that you rank, they will stay there for awhile but will eventually get taken down and all your hard work will need to be done again in order to gain earnings back.

Okay so, when thinking of niches, I would suggest everyone INFORMATION. People crave for information about stuff. Let's pick a whitehat niche called "carving wood". This can be turned into multiple niches but it must be broke down into brain-storming of "What can be carved from the wood and what kind of information is low on providers but high on demand". Always when choosing a niche, search the competition first, if it's high on providers but low on demand then do not go for it as those niches are highly saturated. Always search for stuff that is low on providers but high on demand! Those are un-saturated niches. For example, using a niche called "How to carve famous person wood figures" would be a whitehat niche that would have originated from "carving wood".

This is a perfect example on how to turn "carving wood" into a profitable niche. If I would choose the niche "How to carve famous person wood figures", I would re-search on how to do that, write up a nice little guide on it and promote it on youtube, social media and related forums. Nothing more is required than that! Easy to promote, good traffic and best part is, it's organic!

How would you go thinking of niches then? Shut down your computer, grab a piece of paper and a pen. Now look around you, there are niches just about everywhere you can look at. Let's say you see a printer! Now you may be thinking "How can I turn a printer into a profitable niche?". EASY! Just look up the make and model of the printer and google for "most common problems of (Your printer make and model here)". After you find, let's say 10 most common problems in that printer, search for solutions on fixing those issues. Now that you have ten most common problems and solutions for each one, it's time for you to write up a nice little guide on those and start promoting the guide! I advice you to be really specific when promoting a niche like this as you might be earning some big bucks for a solution guide for big problem fix!

Now write down all the niches you find using this methodology above and you do research on each one. Check competition, see if there is a EMD (Exact Match Domain) available for your niche and so forth. Now go nuts and create those niches, make them go live and promote them like no tomorrow! Learning SEO is advised for this type of promotion as it can be rather hard to rank for some niches!

You can find good SEO guides inside this forum so don't let all the information shared on here go on waste. Turn it into cold hard cash now! Take action! That's the reason you joined these forums anyways!

Feedback is appreciated!

Grate thank you whoring.
Title is missleading, "[Quality] - Discover How A 17 Year Old Started Raking In $1000+ Weekly" to sum it up u get "think outside the box" and "create call to action" he ironically makes an example of "create call to action" referring that the title of this post is a call for action.
The title is not a "call to action" but "create interest" , good examples of call for action are: buy now, limited time offer etc
Creating titles like this posts tile has no value if your "share" "information" does not even remotely describes how that 17 yr old made the money, in the best case it creates "interest" but once the person gets the "info" he looses all interest because no information was given to him which is relevant to the title.

Hope I didnt offend u Saint but as this is a "quality" post , where is the quality?
Time to make a screenshot and cronometer how fast will my post be gone :)

There are already tons of threads like this, who do you think you are? The only thing I see in this post is arrogance. Sorry.

Nvm, thought that was the whole thread. Sorry.

Using catchy phrases is one thing, using misleading and false catchy phrases is another. Your "catchy" phrase should be at least slightly related to the topic and contents of your post, in this case.

Sincerly, I don't see why you used this Title.

Pretty ones are good, but your Title is not even close to what you are writing. This is called "Misleading Information".

I saw, firstly, [Quality] ----> my mind said: "An High Quality Content SURE!"

Then: "Discover" -----> WOW! I'm going to learn something really awesome!

"17 Years Old" -----> LIKE ME! It's perfect! And after I clicked.

The fact is that, from your thread, someone can only understund: "I HAVE TO USE PRETTY TITLE."
Stop.

I really suggest that you not only change the content, but the Titile too.

Regards , klaatu97
