Proxies on GSA

Hi all

Maybe this is a stupid question, but I bought GSA recently and I'm learning how to use it.

I have 20 semidedicated proxies and 5 private ones.
Should I use public proxies or not? I mean, with this 25 proxies is enough or is it recommended to have public proxies too?

I don't know if only using my private proxies they can be banned.

Thanks!

Yes min 20 is enough to use, so you are using total of 25 which is ok. Make sure your timeout setting is adjusted according to vps config, otherwise it will show you the connection errors.

25 is fine, skip using public ones.

I heard you can also use public proxies for e-mail checking. Are you agree?

You 25 private proxies, you can easily run 200-250 threads. You can always adjust your setting by checking CPU usage.

Wrong advice, you should mix public and private proxies, but use them for some different functionalists/tasks.
I know we have around some good advanced GSA courses, please review them and you will find out where to use public and where to use private proxies.

With a low cost VPS - 2 shared cores and 2 gigs of ram and slow internet connection, he/she definitely will be unable to reach 200-250 threads, that is for sure.
My personal opinion is that GSA ranker heavily relays on your internet connection.
But after my last experiment I could tell that the ram is an important factor and you don't want to run out of ram (memory)
Regarding the CPU - the Ranker use it on 100% from time to time, but it still matters.

For 200-250 thread imo you need something like dedicated server or i7 (or equal) machine with at least 8 gig of ram (better 16 gigs).

I heared GSA is a 32bit software, so it only can handle 4GB ram.
