Hello guys! I have a question related to on-page optimization.

When looking after the keyword density, should I look on the whole page or just the content?

What do you mean by the whole page? Isn't the whole page made of content?

Maybe he's talking about the <head>-section, some kind of sidebar, the navigation menu, a footer.

This place is intentionally left blank.

They won't by default add up to the keyword density. Who in his conscious minds stuffs keywords into sidebars, navigation, footers and all? He just needs to have his title, description and body text correct. All that wordpress shit isn't going to do any harm/good with keyword density.

By the way BlackhatSeo, you active on some other BH forum too? That name rings a bell.

It will hurt your SEO if you have sidebars with a bunch of keywords or duplicate content.

I am active on other forums, but not with the name BlackHatSEO.

What I mean is:

If you access this site http://tools.seobook.com/general/keyword-density/ you will see that you can add your URL, your text or your HTML. When you add the URL it will calculate the density of lots of things such as:

1. Page title
2. Meta keywords
3. Meta description
4. Images (alt tags + title)
5. Headlines
6. Body text

Then they just calculate the keyword density on the whole page taking in consideration all of these.

My question was: should I take into account all of these, or just worry about the body text keyword density?

Just of your article bro. Meta keywords/description etc are not part of that, why are people over-complicating this?

Write an article and get your keyword in there few times. Done. Publish.

There's not an ideal keywords density and over-complicating this is ridiculous, just get your keyword in the article few times and you are golden.
