Need VPS Help

I've been trying to set my vps for gsa but I'm having problems when trying to connect to it using remote desktop.

I have installed xrpd on the server and added a .xsession file that contains:

"gnome-session --session=ubuntu-2d"

However after logging into xrpd it just gives me a blank screen, without the .xsession file xrpd works fine and gives me the console when I connect but I need the desktop.
Can anyone help me?

(I can't post clickable links which includes images apparently so I can't post screenshots, sorry)

You can easily reset your VPS and firstly after installing ubuntu using terminal make sure about latest updates:
Code:
apt-get update

If your VPS already does not have installed desktop Install Ubuntu Desktop
Code:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop --no-install-recommends

Install xrdp
Code:
sudo apt-get install xrdp

Reboot your VPS:
Code:
sudo reboot

And finally start xrdp (U need to do those steps just one time)
Code:
/etc/init.d/xrdp start

After that u can easily connect using RDC.
