Hi All,

I thought I would share the method I use to get multiple installs/offers completed on my Adgate Mobile App Wall.

First off I HIGHLY recommend using custom HTML for your Mobile App Wall. You will find this under the "Advanced" tab when editing your MAW. This way you can make the locker look and feel a bit warmer than the default as well as easily customize the text, it's size and color with just a little basic html.

You can also do some pretty cool stuff!, like "guide" the user to install an additional app or two!!

The MAW (Mobile App Wall) already allows for a variable {offers_completed} that displays the dynamic text 0/2 Offers Completed. However; I find showing this initially to the user may dismay them from even installing the first app knowing they will need to install multiple apps to unlock the content.

So, how do I do it? I use a bit of jQuery and JS to set a timeout of 22 seconds and then display this message to the user: Install One More App To Unlock!

By waiting 22 seconds to display this message, the user has already tapped an offer and has begun installing the app, when they come back to the page then BLAM!! they message to install one more app has been displayed, and 30-45% of the time they will because heck, they're already half way there!! :)

Here's how I do it.

IMPORTANT: Try this on a test or copy of an existing Mobile App Wall before implementing it on a live one.

1. Set "Num of apps to unlock" to at least 2 in your Mobile App Wall General settings. (duh)

2. Under the "Advanced" tab in the settings of the MAW scroll down to the HTML text area, somewhere the user can easily read above the fold add:

Code:
<p id="count"  style="font-size:19px; color:#F35353; display:none;">Install One More App To Unlock!</p>

3. All the way at the bottom of the HTML text area after the last </div> add:

Code:
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.3.min.js"></script>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-migrate-1.2.1.min.js"></script>
<script>
window.setInterval(function(){
$('#count').show();
}, 22000);
</script>

4. Save Mobile App Wall

Now 22 seconds after the user has visited your wall the "Install One More App To Unlock!" message will be displayed, so the user knows they need to install more than one and you didn't scare them away from the get go.

In the code, 22000 is about 22 seconds change this as you need.

This could be used for other types of Adgate lockers too I'm sure.

Special thanks to Adgate for allowing us to use jQuery and JS in the lockers!!!

I keep mine before the offers to ensure they see it. Just a preference.

Cool to see you're using it though, is it working out?

I thought it will show after 22s. If it shows right on the locker so what is the point?

It still shows after 22 seconds just a little higher up the locker for me, that's all. You can put it wherever you like :)

Is it working out for you?
