Hello elites,
I'm looking for "low budget" gaming pc, this is my spec:

CPU: i5-4460 3,20GHz LGA1150
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX960 2048MB DDR5/128bit
Memory: Goodram DDR3 8GB PC1600 CL11
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H81M-H

Can somebody look on this? Maybe there are better parts in same price or little higher.
Thanks for any advice :)

Here is the spec of my Gaming PC (I didn't spend a lot on it, but it scores 7.6 out of 7.9 on Windows Experience Index which means it's pretty damn good!).

CPU: AMD FX-8350
RAM: G.Skill RipJaw 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
Mobo: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
GPU: 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW

You can buy a similar CPU, RAM and Mobo Combo on eBay for around $680 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ibuild-Gaming-PC...1e8f4569bc

But your GPU is probably good enough (better than mine).

Either way, I built my Gaming PC bit by bit so it cost a little more for me.
Latest Thanks - View all

The GPU is great but you'll experience a huge bottleneck. A bottleneck happens when 1 or more of your components are really bad and there's that 1 component that is just way too good. In this case, you will experience a bottleneck because your GPU is far too powerful for your CPU & RAM.

If you play a game that is heavily CPU/RAM intensive than your PC won't even use half of your GPU and you basically wasted half of what you paid for that GPU. I suggest you to either get a better CPU/RAM or get a GPU that isn't that good.

To explain further what I mean, here is a picture that demonstrates it perfectly:

As you can see here, his GPU is great, but his CPU is terrible hence why his GPU's usage is at 50% and CPU almost 100%. I am not exactly sure how this fully works but I think the CPU can't transfer data as fast as the GPU can handle it. The GPU handles the data extremely fast but the CPU can't send it fast enough for the GPU to work on it's peak.

What's the normal price tag on a low budget gaming PC? I don't usually game a lot, but I do play League of Legends and I'd like to have a steady frame rate while playing.

My Specs:

Intel i7-5820K
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB
EVGA GTX 980 SC ACX 2.0
EVGA X99 FTW
Corsair Graphite Series 760T
LG Bluray
4XSSD HDD

i spent about $2800 , you need to be more precise about "low budget" .... P.S pc runs like a monster , very recommended

The GPU handles the data extremely fast but the CPU can't send it fast enough for the GPU to work on it's peak.

The CPU processes instructions in a synchronized way, one instruction at a time, GPU's can process data in parallel due to high core count but keep in mind that a GPU core can execute only arithmetic instruction this gives the possibility to place a huge number of cores on a GPU die.

The problem is that some games are not fully optimised to work on GPU, instead doing complex arithmetics on GPU they do it on CPU which takes time and keep in mind that the CPU have to also switch context to work on other processes which will make the CPU work almost 100% on all cores.

Now regarding main memory, 16Gb of RAM will be OK. In average accessing main memory takes 100ns or less depending on how the modules are designed and from what materials are made of; just make sure they have radiators so they don't overheat.

If I were you I would buy something like this:
AMD FX 8350
MSI Radeon R9 290 Gaming Twin Frozr IV OC 4GB DDR5 512-bit
ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0
Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9

EDIT: When you choose a component look at the BUS size, the wider the BUS the better.

When TV's will emanate odors I'll make my own GanjaTV's and sell them all.

Are you playing game?
If not, you should spend less on graphic card and more on cpu and ram
