Hello everyone!

For the last month or two i have been looking into internet marketing, all from affiliate marketing and dropshipping to CPA networks, however i haven't started anything of my own yet.

So i have 10-15 high-quality, virtualy downloadable products, which are all fully made by me and i belive that they would appeal to a large crowd of people. I have a plan to set up a website and offer all of those products for free, however i would like to earn something from user visits or from their actions.

So my question is, which branch of IM would you recommend for this type of website? I am thinking about setting up a conetent locker on download button for each free product, however i don't want to scare people with annoying ads like "enter your phone number now" and other "scam-like" things like that, since i am planning to make something lonh-trem, branded and highly appealing to everyone in this field of work.

So has anyone tried with content locking on downloadable products and what are your results? I wonder how many people will change their mind to not download the product beacuse of content locker. Is there maybe a better way to monetize website with free products?

Thank you for reading, Cheers.

You can officially sell the stuff via PayPal and if users wanted to get it for free then you can have a content locker for them. Adworkmedia has product locker specializes for that.

Thank you for pointing out adwork media product locker, it seems to be exactly what i was looking for.

Is there anyone who dealt with product locking in their past and what are your results? Did anyone make some serious cash by doing it? I wonder if website visitors will go through the struggle of product locker, to download the product for free, or will they just change their mind and decide not to download it, even though the products are highly desirable and useful?

Honestly, I would just try both in two different versions.
One where people buy the product with some nice payment processor (payivy or something maybe).

A good product might get you more with sells than with CPA action.

But of course you can also try the CPA with using a file locker (download template), or depending on product it can also be content locked, for example a video can be locked in a way that only the first X min are public and then they have to do the CPA action.

Even though all of my products could be sold for a good price, i decided not to sell them, because there are already big websites with huge amounts of traffic, who are selling similar products, however if i offer products of same quality for free, i could step out of the competition and gain a big amount of non paid traffic. I am also planning to make my website branded, long-term investment, and since i will be adding a new free product every week or so, i want only one website which will be a single source of all my products & content. I am also not going to use any of "black-hat" solutions for gaining traffic since i am very good at SEO and have enough funds to invest in paid traffic.

My main problem right now is that i have no idea how will visitors react on product/content lockers. So they see something great and desirable, which they could use, but will they go through the effort completing the action demanded by product locker? If conversion rates are low, i might in fact be better with just selling the products on my own without the CPA.

I've used both methods quite a bit, and really it just depends on the product. If it's something a TON of people want then I would say go for CPA Lockers. But if only a few people are after it, it might be more profitable just to sell it outright.

Make sure you pay attention to your target market as well. The Younger the market (16-25) The better for CPA and the older, better to stick with out right sales.

Just my two cents.

Even if you don't believe in yourself... I will. :)

Thats very useful info, thank you for that. Could you maybe recommend any networks you worked with? I heard that adWorkmedia has best product/content lockers, followed by adNetworkmedia and cpaGrip.

I would also like to use a network which allows me to twerk their product/content locker code and to fully integrate it into my website, as i am not insterested in any premade templates, iframepopus or other things which lead to unprofessional impression. Could you recommend any?
