Inside a Russian IG BOT Farm with MILLIONS of Accounts!

I posted this on Forum discussions are not allowed here. but wanted to share the article here too.

Hey fellas! So yesterday was a bitter day for us who work on IG using bots.

I have more than 100 accounts that works on Massplanner, so after knowing that Instagram is coming for the most popular public bots, I started to take action on this.

Looking for a good alternative I started to do some research and I read a great article about an interview that VICE did with one of the Russian members of Rantic. They sell Social Media services.

The guy describes how they were (and are) available to create and manage millions of accounts, how they sell followers and how their biggest clients are from politicians to celebrities.
The article also talks about the first time Instagram started to strike back with spam filters and deleting more than 20 millions accounts.
That time Justin Bieber lost a few million followers (yes, he bought millions of followers from one of this bot farms)

It also contains a few words from Instagram communications representative Gabe Madway, in which he tells that IG has a complete team of people dedicated on tracking bot accounts, taking down, and more important, LEARNING from us, spammers.

The article is from 2015 but I found it today, so if you haven't read it here you have something to take a cup of coffe to.
I also love sharing this kind of information.

I leave you with some words taken from the article on which Kazemi (programmer), which I found super inspiring, explains why there's still room to hack IG (in his own words of course).

"Kazemi was once employed at a gaming company just to identify who was bot and who was a human. He has a very zen-like attitude about botting in general. (He makes bots as art and social experiments, after all.) "Any time you have a mathematical framework, people are going to try to abuse it," he said, not necessarily in a malicious way, just to see what the limits are."

Enjoy :)

Didn't get your question..
Are you asking on which platform are they creating their accounts? IDK

In the beginning stage of the account probably to boost real followers.
It is known as an account with fake followers works for nothing else but to increase the desire of organic followers to follow your account.
There are also people who are trying to keep a SPONSOR by showing stats of follow increase.. That can be faked too.
Or maybe they want to have more followers than a competitor.
After all, an account with 1k followers is more appealing that one with 64 right? Take that to higher scales and with famous people..

Pretty interesting to read. More interesting because IG has shut down Massplanner now.

This is so true.
"Regulating botting on platforms has always been difficult, because many people on social platforms are just "very bot-like" to begin with"

It was closed when I wrote the post. That's how I found out the article, looking for alternatives.

Right? Take my personal account for instance. I use it everyday (not to make $), I take a look at my main feed, like a few pictures, but haven't posted since more than a month ago. I could totally be a bot.

You should check out Instabot.pw, which is a python bot.

I haven't tried it, since I don't really use IG for promotion.
