Human verification of uploaded tools

I reported two Trojan/Malware downloads today, and a few more in the last week.

What do you think about a possible "sandbox mode", organized with a custom forum plugin, that new uploads are kept in quarantine (not being downloadable) and have to be verified manually by some moderators/trusted members? Only after they have been verified and considered as harmless, the download URL and/or thread will be visible to the public.

I would like to suggest to use experienced moderators/members for this, that know how to decompile/deobfuscate/reverse-engineer software. Nothing bad is really invisible, if you ask the right people to analyze it.

I hereby offer my help to assist you with these tasks, and even with a custom forum plugin. Some of my skills: https://www.cpaelites.com/member.php?act...&uid=79622

I think the timespan between the thread creation by bad guys (the available download) and the reporting by regular users and finally the deletion is a bit too long and very dangerous. (No offense against HawkEye, the moderators or any user! I love CPAElites. :-) )

You should always keep the good reputation of CPAElites in mind, for being a friendly and safe place to stay at. It would be horrible if some random bad guys could destroy this reputation by spreading malware. Not every user is able to detect that he uses a malware every day. And not every user that detected it will report it at CPAElites.

So, what do you think?

Good idea and that can be good too to not allow people to share LP before a MOD check the LP about sneaky redirect

Or maybe there can be option, that only users who have well over 50-100 posts to be able to put download links for tools/shares. Because I am sure who ever want to try to give us some trojan will not have time to contribute to the forum with the posts, before he push his malware.

Oh yes, you're absolutely right.

And maybe to prevent CPAElites from further threads with ripped landing pages that other know people used to sell here. Of course nobody could know every single seller, but some templates are really well known.

Theoretically yes, but:

1. Today somebody posted malware with a hacked (or phished) CPAElites account. So he used an account with a decent number of posts for this.

2. There are still new users around that post 40, 50 or more messages in a row, just to bypass the post limit.

So the post count only is no limitation.

Hey buddy, looks promising.
We do need to get rid of this old common problem, and ensure everyone is safe on the Elites.

I would do next:
Add a new forum section for landing pages only? (What do you think about it)
And of course, threads are moderated before approval. (Manual review)
This could take some time, like 24-48 hours since posted.

I'll have time for this task, definitely someone else will have as well, so it's possible to be stopped.

Nice ideas!

But a new forum section won't prevent new users to post in the right category. I mean, I'm permanently reporting wrong placed content, nearly every day here.

So a really bad guy (and for me a person that spreads malware IS a bad guy) could place it anywhere, until it will be detected, reported and then finally deleted.

(I'm talking especially about software, bots, tools and cracked stuff.)

In my original post I described the concept of a forum plugin:

Similar to the "thanks" option a download link would be hidden automatically until it will be manually approved. The forum plugin checks ever new message regarding contained links in the background.

Another option could be a kind of whitelist and blacklist: Trusted people which are allowed to post anything they want, and people that are known for infected material (if they are not banned already, or after there ban period is over). So the plugin checks these lists before a "need to moderate" notification will be send.

And I offered my help to develop such a plugin for CPAElites above.

CharlieHarper right, that is correct.
Well, it's hard to stop it, that's why there is a statement: learn from your mistakes.

There are always some 'newbies' who says like: thanks so much under threads with outdated stuff.
Some things never change I assume (xd) and managing new accounts/approvals etc, would require a lot of time.

CharlieHarper you should discuss with Hawk privately.
Still, they could say, I'm not allowed to post links, go here: domain.com

Anyway, just contact Hawk and check with him.
