Just a quick question guys. How long will it take to transfer a newly purchased domain to a new registrar? In my case I want to buy a domain from godaddy and will transfer it to namecheap. Any idea?

Mine was almost instant from Godaddy to a friend's server. It can take up to 48 hours though.

We got it, it will take up to 48hours, they are 13 dns servers in the world, 10 in usa, 2 in eu and 1 in asia, depends where do you live.

LOL! Are you sure you really got my question? You can read it again then try to analyze each word. I said REGISTRAR! Not server or whatever u mean is. Registrar means domain provider. Not a web hosting provider!

Anyway I already got the answer. It takes 60 days to transfer a newly purchased domain to a new registrar.

I got your question exactly. To point your nameservers for a new domain at a new host will take up to 48 hours but more than likely will be instant.

Probally a better idea to contact your domain provider them selves. they will be able to help you out.
