Hit by Chrome Update - Downloadable EXEs Blocked

I guess I'm not the only one with this. I have several great landing pages on dotcom TLDs all over the place and I promote PPI most of the time.

Today I noticed that my earning stats are way too low, so I started to investigate what was happened. Traffic is same all across my network, but somehow the installs are not coming. I asked my account manager maybe if something went wrong on their end, but no, everything is fine there. He told me that there was a Google Chrome update recently and hit the PPI industry.

So I decided to check my sites with Chrome... and guess what;

Needles to say I'm really "happy" about it.......

I tried to reupload a fresh exe, upload it to somewhere else other than my webhost, but no matter what, I keep getting this message. 50% of the users use Chrome based on the stats.

I'm all ears for suggestions how to get around with this, it's really annoying. Thanks fellas!

Isn't archiving them a simple option/solution?

Aye, this is happening with all the PPI networks sooner or later. Some of them update their software to stay invisible, but Google comes up with a new update sooner or later.

Anyway, upload a .zip file and you will be fine.

Tried a ZIP file, no luck, same message.
Tried a RAR, seems okay.
I guess if all falis, a password protected RAR should do it archived into another RAR along with a TXT file with some instructions. Thanks for the heads up people!

You could try a self-extracting RAR archive, since those are .exe files that extract themselves you probably won't need to password encrypt it.

Well damn, yesterday I uploaded ZIP and it worked fine. I just checked and now it detects malicious files.

Here bro!

Browsers/Antiviruses have the ability to scan within ZIP archives, he also mentioned that he tried using a ZIP file and it didn't work.

Nope, ZIPs not working. I am messing around with self extracting archives, but the problem is, it's still an exe and every time I send the visitor from my landing page to this particular exe, it's flagged as malicious. I tried to zip up the RAR SFX, no luck.

So far RAR only works, I bet if you encrypt the shit out of it will be much better, but the conversion ratios will suffer. Not to mention RAR files not supported by Windows by default but zips...
