[Help] Google SEO Blackhat

So I was doing Google SEO last year and there was a massive wipe out of website related to blackhat stuffs (I was referring to fake generator thingy). My websites got de indexed because it is also a blackhat. So I stopped doing that, and eventually after browsing and searching lots of stuffs on google, I've seen a lot of blackhat website ranked on the 1st page of google, fake generator stuffs and I'm wondering if that method is now working now. so my question is, does blackhat seo working on google now?

I'm watching 1 website, it's been up for 2 months now, still watching it, if it will be up for until 2019 I will dive again into it. watcha' think?
