This Little piece of Info slid across my LINKEDIN News feed so I figured I'd share it Money

Hackers create a booming job market

A week doesn't go by without a major company announcing a data breach. From Sears, to Kmart to Delta to Panera, firms are struggling to keep their servers secure from hackers. Mounting pressure for better security has pushed up demand for cybersecurity experts that is far outstripping the supply of such skills. And the problem will only get worse in the coming years, reports The Wall Street Journal. By 2022, there will be 265,000 more data-security jobs than skilled workers, says the report, citing data from consulting firm Frost & Sullivan. This skill mismatch means that compensation in the field has surged, with the median data-security analyst salary around $121,000.

Yeah, the Scareware or need to UPGRADEWARE is not as visible since McAfee was busted with the registry stuff,
https://www.mediapost.com/publications/a...eware.html
But Trust me it is still there and makes the others look like Infants when it comes to earning..
plus the way they do it is harder to prove the negligence in it.
It's more company and product promotion related and the others, well, not that.
MOST Scarewares/upgradeware are more of a con and a less insidious and harmful as the others. More of an aggravation lol
The Ransomware is Flat Out CRIMINAL...Extortion!..You loose all control of your system.
With the Scareware/upgradeware usually(As there are exceptions to every rule-See Image Below) if you can tolerate the Pop-ups
asking you to upgrade to finish removing the otherproblems found while scanning, which is how the pop-ups got on their in the first place lol..
well if you can tolerate those annoying pop-ups you can still use your system pretty much the same.
It was and still is an EXTREMELY profitable model and was only exposed because people start using variations of it
in McAfees name with more nefarious intentions..as always it was and is EXTREME GREED that usually causes the
undoing of these things. Not saying one is better or worse than the other just showing how clever and stealthy
some can be and some just plan wreckless ..that kinda bold wrecklessness like with Ransomware will always
sound an Alarm on itself.

Like Scareware turning from "NEED TO UPGRADE" ...TO THIS!

These types of things are usually Disgruntled former employee like in it's inception lol
Yes, and as I stated earlier ..GREED!...But aren't we all just a bit... Shock

Later Buddy
