If your hosting want you to remove copyrighted content then the you can change hosting to one that ignores DMCA.

no hosting will ignore dmca claims!!!!
You can change the name of the file in question to something boring like "rainbow 3322"

Worked for me many times in the past.

DMCA is an American law, what can they do if the file is hosted on a Russian/Chinese server? If the owner of the server want to ignore that DMCA notice they can.
They will take down that file only if they get a court order. But that depends on the company, also i don't think they will ignore DMCA if you have a shared hosting, but if you have a dedicated server they will most likely ignore it.

If the DMCA was actually sent to your hosting and they asked you to remove the domain, yes, you must do that right away and move it elsewhere. If however you received an email asking you to remove it, just ignore it and wait and see if they contact your hosting. Sometimes competition will attempt to spook you and can look VERY realistic too, but, if it's a legit DCMA the company will of course get in contact with your hosting.
