Be sure to get a good plan though..when you get lot of traffic, hostwinds will say you will have to upgrade..So better to get a good plan from the beginning..

Nobody wants to loose money, but you'll have to find out a hosting that suits your needs. Rarely that someone manages to do that on their first time. Start with cheap shared hosting, no more than $7 a month, and you're good to go. Also, I recommend placing your websites on websites that allow warez/piracy and ignore EULA, not because of that you may have pirated/black-hat content, but just because they won't give a fuck about what are you doing, and you'll have more freedom. :)

Why would anyone go with a US company?

Theres two choices for you OVH or Hetzner, they're the owners of the largest datacenters in europe and everyone resells from them, so better go directly to the source, it's cheap as well and they won't suspend you for stupid reasons unlike the majority of US companies, I've been with netrouting for 4 years.

To put this in perspective, I had Vodafone DE and Gucci sending notices to the company to suspend me and they didn't as they didn't thought the brands had any ground for such requests, if it was a US company aside from losing all your traffic, they would likely share your personal information with them.

To handle 5K onlines at the same time you need a basic 2GB VPS if you know what you're doing go with nginx.

What CPU you recommend? I know Xenon are the best, but what model? How much are you paying on netrouting because I can not see more than 2GB servers?

I'm paying 25€ a month on a 2gb VPS
I'm also testing ramnode, bought a $28 usd 4gb KVM VPS with them, instant setup, sending 10K onlines so far so good!

CPU is not important, take a look at serverpilot.io if you're not experienced with linux, its a new FREE control panel (cpanel, directadmin alternative) that manages everything for you, instant setup just copy a command to the command line and you're ready to go, comes with everything u need, NGINX PHP MYSQL etc.

They're both in the netherlands.
