Hi guys, many of you must have heard about the earthquake that happened in Nepal.

The earthquake was about 7.8 in magnitude. And a 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred the next day. More than 100 magnitude 4+ earthquakes have occurred in the last 4 days. And earthquakes with magnitude less than 4 have occurred more than 600 times. The last shock(small) was about an hour ago.

Saturday - 39 times
Sunday - 38 times
Monday - 13 times
Tuesday - 11 times
Wednesday - Today and there have been 3-4 smaller ones.

Many of the historical buildings, temples etc have been destroyed due to the earthquake. Most of the old houses are in rubble. In many of the places, the whole village was destroyed. You can see some pics here http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/...quake.html

8 million people have been affected by the quake and are out in the open staying in open fields, roads. And not only that, it is raining and wont stop anytime soon.

As of now, about 5000 people have died and there are many places left so I am guessing it will cross 9000.

There are shortages of many items. Some are charging 3-5x the cost. Many places have not even got clean water to drink, not any thing to sleep on.

Many countries have aided in helping Nepal. But they are aid only in name. No offence but, people sent by poland, spain, israel(worse) just picked their citizens and left. And india(worst) also is picking their citizens and recording from the helicopters.
There are many others who are doing just the same.

Also, the government officials are just useless as ever. Just talk and most the the big talks are in hiding.....

The only people helping the people are youth clubs, local people, INGO, police, army etc. Local people are gathering, collecting donations, going to the affected places and offering help.

I request everyone to donate anything you can to help Nepal. Also, please dont donate to any of the political parties.

There are so many things i want to say but idk where to start.

Some articles about the quake.

This is terrible. Life is harsh sometimes, you're born into this world without being asked, nurtured throughout your early life and then you get chucked into the cold harsh reality of making it for yourself. You fight through years of blood sweat and tears only to try and make it through the river of shit out the other side, ironically you can then end up back in a nappy pissing yourself, or, suffering disastrous things of this nature.

Yes, life is harsh indeed.
The amount of tremors is decreasing but the effect has still not left. Many people are still trapped inside if not dead. The people out in the open and rural areas have still not gotten any help. Moreover, there is the fear of an epidemic. The politicians are full of shit and so are the fake aids by some countries. Believe me, no one is angry at the Indian aid than the people in Nepal.
On the bright side, the involvement of local people, especially the youths is very good.
