How do you guys change it? Do you restart your PC/router? Do you turn off your router for a couple of minutes and then turn it back on?
I just want to know how to do it properly since I can't really figure it out.
Thanks.

You just turn off your router and turn it on right away. That's it. But it works only if you have a dynamic IP, if it's static you can turn your router on and off until you break your fingers, the ip won't change lol.

Exactly like this ^ I'm pretty sure you can contact your ISP and attempt to change it to the dynamic IP though if you are static.

If your ISP support dynamic IP just restart router/modem. If not you can use VPN's or proxy.

That's false. If you have a dynamic ip you just have to restart your router and the ip will change. I am 100% sure it works this way because I have a dynamic ip.

Hello
You guys need a easier way? Restarting the router takes about 50-60 seconds, Using below method it will take only 10 seconds or less.

Open Notepad, paste the below code, save the file as FILENAME.bat

rasdial PPPOE_CONNECTION_NAME /disconnect
ping -n 5 127.0.0.1 > nul
rasdial PPPOE_CONNECTION_NAME YOUR_USERNAME YOUR_PASSWORD
ping -n 5 127.0.0.1 > nul

Replacements Required(In above code):-
PPPOE_CONNECTION_NAME with your connection name.
YOUR_USERNAME with the username your ISP assigned to you.
YOUR_PASSWORD with the password your ISP assigned to you.

So now you just need to double-click on this .bat file whenever you need to change your IP. It will automatically disconnect and connect again. Also Make sure your connection is set as "PPPOE" and not "Bridging". You can change this by going to 192.168.1.1

Hope this helps. Enjoy :)

If you still have query, feel free to contact me.

Regards

No this not true. I have dynamic IP and if i only reset my router my IP wont change.

What you need to do, is to connect to your router ( 192.168.0.1 ) change your mac adress press save. Then press button reset wait until it loads to 100% and then press button on your router for reset. Wait 1 -2 min and you will get new ip. This is how i need to do wih my net.

I guess it depends on the ISP, for my ip to change I only have to reset my router and it works that way for all the people with dynamic ips that I personally know.
