Domain name length matters for SEO?

I was wondering if the length of the domain name was making an impact of the seo of the website.

For example if we have a clash of clans niche and we wanna rank for the keyword: Clash of Clans hack

Now obviously having the domain name: Clashofclanshack.wordpress.com would be sick.

However, most of the times we have to add stuff to it. So if we make the domain really long, will that seem spammy and Google will penalize it?
Such as:

Clashofclanshackcheats2014free.wordpress.com
?

Ty a lot for helping me here.

No Google won't penalize you because of domain name, it doesn't matter what you name it or how long it is. Do whatever you want :)

Thank you Night wolf. I really love how you support this community and I have been following a lot of your threads. After learning a lot of theory I have started to push to action. However, at first I use SEOclerks gigs to rank, and afterwards when I have hopefully nailed some things, and have more money to invest, I will buy scraper, spinner, proxies, captchabreaker to fit my GSA :)

Do you think this is a good idea?

Thanks man :)

Honestly I don't like SEOclerk at all, I feel like is lower quality gigs there, I like Fiverr better. (pm me for some gig that you are looking for, I have the best bookmarked)

I don't like GSA for anything else than tier 2 or tier 3 and if you are doing some spam for churn n burn projects, otherwise is useless. Now, if you don't plan to do a lot of churn n burn projects don't rush to purchase those things... Even if you are very serious about cnb projects you still need other types of links to do it properly because ranking with only spam is a very weak strategy, you can do it 10x better with a little of other things which you can't do with GSA or other tools.
