I receive lots of email regarding winning millions of dollars, but does people really fall for this? I don't think people are that much stupid now. Do share your opinions.

I guess its 10 000:1 ratio. So, you send 50k of those mails you'll get 5 that buys the story. My 2 cents

Very less people open and respond back to such emails, useless strategy to get leads.

IMO only 0.1%(it could be less) of the people fall for these kind of stories as they are considered as most famous scams nowadays and in those 0.1%, there are mostly people who aren't aware of these and are greedy and some stupid kids.

One of my friend's grandmas got scammed by someone emailing her saying they need bail money to get out of jail in a foreign country. She thought this email was from her grandson and sent the guy $5k. Many people fall for those emails that are so blatantly fake to some of us.

I am quite sure that people back in 2006 would have fallen for it, but not nowadays.

It's just like the Nigerian-Prince E-Mail wave, people fell for it back when it was fresh, but nowadays it's more of a meme.
