Hi,
I am using hostwinds.com web hosting and my websites are down since last 26 hours.
I want to know which is best way to prevent from getting down from ddos?

OVH has very good DDOS protection on their VPS free of charge.

I would like to suggest an additional strategy:
I never got any DDoS going back to my first server in 1995. So I suggest to not mess up with competitors, suppliers, former employees. And maybe to avoid any spam activities.

Well said, one does not do ddos attacks until they has any kind of anger with them.
