I am starting from scratch. Want to build internet companies. Unfortunately I couldn't go to collage. I am self learning.

How much time it takes to learn and start building stuffs with any programming language. I know what programming language does what. I want to know how to master them, how long it will take to master?

Where can I find projects to challenge myself?

Be YOU.

try codecademy. It is a great site to learn everything from scratch. That is where I've learnt everything.

Yeah, codeacademy is helping me a lot. I am spending 2hours daily, right now in php. First I am considering finishing Head First PHP and MySQL ebook then going for codeAcademy.

Codeacademy, http://code.org and Talentbuddy.co are pretty good websites to learn programming.

Don't worry, the best programmers are those who are self-taught... they can't teach you too much in college, it's up to you how much do you want to know :)

The best and most interesting way for me was to actually start developing small projects I've always wanted to execute, and then gradually move on to the bigger ones. You'll master programming pretty quickly, especially if you make long hours a day dedicated to it.

Although I haven't used codeacademy myself, I have heard great things about it. If you want some school style programming homework, check out: http://reddit.com/r/dailyprogrammer

Programming is a lot more interesting to learn if you have a goal in mind. Learn the very basics and then choose a simple project to work on. You will learn a lot along the way and it won't feel like you're studying.

Based to my designer/coder it will take many years to become a master.. I always believe that he is a master but everytime his creations are better and better so the master level is too far away.. You do not really need school for coding, you will learn things there of course but do not forget that most of the super affiliates are self-educated.
