Before I became an inbound marketer, I once made $50,000 a month spamming Google. I worked a maximum of 10 hours a week. And I am telling you from the bottom of my heart: never, never ever follow in my footsteps.

This post will tell you exactly why...

That's a very well-written, interesting read! Kind of a, "I have seen the light" type of story.

Must have been really scary and difficult to suddenly have your business disappear but it was on a shaky foundation.

I have a feeling he'll back on top soon.

I liked that artical man it was very intriguing and informative, I think this should be read by the newbies coming into this market that are having a rough time and decide to go BH.

However did you ever rebound from this? If so how? seems like a pretty big hit in the nads man.

Interesting article...

But overall I would disagree that spamming is bad or dead, sure it's frustrating and short term, but you can make quick cash.

Facts:
1. Google is not the law, and ethical/unethical doesn't relate to if you build links or not. If only you knew how many "reputable" companies make use of non-natural link building...
2. Making $50.000 in a month is great, if you're not stupid and think it will last forever, you play the game right and walk away rich. But... it's "unethical" dude
3. Link building is not dying any time soon. Links is the only way google can work properly, links is "how the web works" in terms of connecting content. If you want to use public blog networks you are going to get hammered eventually, but what about PBN (and I mean solid private, 1 company/person) or guest posts?

Really? Google is good? Google filters your emails to serve you specialized adds, they rip off websites and show it directly in the serps. They punish websites that stop paying for adwords (like ebay). It does provide some good services but in exchange you give up your privacy.

glad you've enjoyed
i don't believe ethics are identical or compatible with profit in terms of marketing success
light/medium/heavy deception walk and work hand by hand with marketing
like the stuff we do in here, or just the stuffs super marketers does or even advertisers and big networks
they all cheat when they can

I truly agree with that. There are some multi-billion companies out there, making money by "Selling" our private information, our interests, hobbies, everything. I don't see anything "Ethical" in it, even if they cover it, saying that is meant to show us relevant information. At the end of the day, they feed us with tons of ads we don't really need or want, but eventually because of the insufferable abundance of advertising, we buy that stuff.
