Bold Move: POF No Longer Accepting New Advertiser / Affiliate Sign-Ups

I was actually pretty shocked to read this:
POF No Longer Accepting New Advertiser / Affiliate Sign-Ups

Quote:This is going to be a quick, but very important update for anyone who has created a POF Ads account (https://ads.pof.com) in the past.

POF Ads recently announced that they are no longer accepting new advertiser sign-ups indefinitely. They said that this is going to be a trial period to see if they can help existing affiliates succeed instead of bringing in new advertisers and affiliates, but to be safe, we should assume that sign up has closed until further notice.

If you go to ads.pof.com, you’ll see that there is no longer a link for you to sign up for a new advertiser account.

This is a pretty bold move on their behalf, what do you think Elites?

It's a really BIG choice to make, right. I can see why they did this though, I mean this will be great for their already signed up affiliates, less competition and better CTR and CPC prices and stuff.

Yeah, that is true. It also shows that they actually care about their affiliates imo.

Will be interesting to see how it works out that's for sure.

It could just be a PR move to create the perception of exclusiveness. If they want to isolate themselves, that's up to them - I'm not going to jump on the inevitable bandwagon of people wagging their tails over aquiring an account.

It's not really a big deal anyway unless you're someone who likes to advertise on dating sites.

True, that could very be the case. Just good marketing! I was actually considering them personally, not now obviously.
