What are the pros and cons between these two?
Here include anything, the ranking time, which is easier to rank, which will get a penalty faster etc.

And of course, Blogger is FREE and host+domain is about 8$.

I see that many host+domain sites have an age of over 4+ months. I don't know if their link profile is made by GSA in churn and burn mode, but what do you think? In host+domain it will take months to rank a niche with GSA (churn and burn)? In blogger it takes few weeks (1-4) ..

Host+Domian is better for long term,
Blogger is better for fast rank and short term :)

I believe host+domain might get you a better conversion rate compared to blogger as people trust .com or .net more than a .blogspot.com , but if you optimize the blogger LP perfectly , it wont make much of a difference ... I personally think ranking bloggers is easier than the other one but your blog can go down anytime if google finds it to be spam ...!!
