Best tool to research keywords

I need a tool that would show me the monthly search volume and competition but i am not sure what tool i should be looking for, does anyone have any suggestions?

I remember using google keywords tool, but it seems that it's gone. I haven't been into PPD for a while now so i need to know what tool is currently worth using

Google KeywordPlanner works just as well. I have a guide on it around here, you should check it out.

Google Keyword Planner is the tool that you're looking for. You can combine it with Google Trends and you have perfect variation. You can use UberSuggest & Market Samurai aswell.
