Forgot my password to my offline btc wallet
was gonna use the money in there buy a vps
currently emailed http://www.walletrecoveryservices.com/ for help

i got the general idea of the password i am more than likely just 1,2 characters off

Meh, I mean I had like 5 bitcoins from a few years back, thought it was and would continue to be almost worthless so I just stopped using it. A while ago when I saw it at $1000 I felt something die inside cause I realized I factory reset my laptop that had the bitcoin wallet stored on it :( Oh well

i sortve have a similar story, i had 42 bitcoins didnt see the price going higher anymore (ignorance of peace) and look where they are now

Yeah, I don't think that guy found it in the landfill in the end either. Unfortunate :/. To be entirely honest I actually kinda felt happy when the price dropped to $500 this week just cause it made me feel like "I lost less money, yay!"

I've read stories like this before and I feel so sorry for them. I think that's one major disadvantage of BTC mining, your hard drive with your digital wallet is too important to discard. Don’t ever underestimate bitcoins, it grows in time.
